Cabaret!

Just got back from Cabaret and all I can say is, WOW. Such an incredible story, told by a wonderful cast. I almost cried at the end, and I never cry at shows or movies. Of course, I'm not going to give away the ending, since everyone should go see it!

The set was amazing, flashing lights, disco balls, it all looked so professional (I think drama paid someone to do it...) My absolute favorite thing was the band. They were all up on stage behind a curtain and they were incredible. You'll have to see it to know what I'm talking about. Also, the talent on stage was awe-inspiring. Cameron Kingsley ruled at his part. I've never been so affected by a character in any show. Even now, remembering his performance, I've got chills running up and down my spine.

Of course, the microphones still suck. Some songs were completely cut out because of bad mikes. We really need to invest in some new ones. Some of the mikes broke down during Music Man too. But since their so expensive, it'll be a while before we have the budget to get some more.

All in all, it was a fabulous show and I had a great time at it. But Music Man was still better.
