LOOK! [09 Feb 2005|10:28pm]
O wow! A pretty new Moulin Rouge/Valentine's Day layout! This took me forever to figure out though. I had no idea how to put a header on, and then it just kept going screwy on me. But now I have it down!

Today was good. We're getting so much better on Elijah Rock in chorus. I love it. But we have to sound less "white" lol... Also cupcakes in lang so today was all in all, a good day.

Shakespearian Quote of the Day:

Let the world slip, we shall ne'er be younger.

I'm a little behind on posting this quiz... but whatever.

You are a drumstick.

Absolutely insane. That is how most would describe you. You aren't afraid to take risks, and enjoy putting yourself in strange situations. Most people hang out with you because of your hilarious sense of humour. You light up any bad situation, and can help all of your friends with their problems, except for your own. Because of this, you enjoy being around people like you. Many shut you out for your very weird, random personality, but honestly, you shouldn't care.

Most compatible with: Guitar, and another drumstick.

So cute! [06 Feb 2005|10:35pm]

You Are a German Shepherd Puppy

Intelligent, quick witted, and a bit aggressive.
You've got the jaw power to take a bite out of anyone you choose.

Haha I guess I can be tough when needed. My friend Caroline has a German Shepherd mix. I was there when she adopted him and took him home. First thing he did was pee on a curtain. Now he's so huge he bowls me over when I go to her house and neither Caroline nor I can control him on a leash.

Today was decent, albeit boring. Went to SAT class and corrected 5 homework assignments. Sigh... I wonder when NHS voting begins. Vote for me for Secretary!!!

Insomnia! [04 Feb 2005|04:37am]
Freaking insomnia! It's 4:30 and I can't get back to sleep! I'm really hyper now, and I'll be dead during school. blah... this makes... 10 hours of sleep in 48 hours. Very healthy, I'm sure. And this isn't the first time either. One time I woke up, brushed my teeth, put in my contacts, started getting dressed, then looked at the clock. It was 3:45. And it wasn't like I'd gone to sleep at 5PM or anything. I honestly woke up thinking it was 7AM. Guess I should've noticed it was dark outside.

So tell me, what is your record for waking up early? What is your record for sleeping late (or not at all). Airplanes and car trips don't count. I never sleep on airplanes, even 24 hour flights to and from China. My record for staying up is till 6:30AM at a sleepover. We slept until 1PM I believe.

STRIKE! [31 Jan 2005|10:32pm]
Not in the labor sense, but in the sense of theater. Today I finally learned how to use a power drill, albeit, to unscrew things. It was pretty fun, but your hand gets sore after a while. The screws get really hot after you take them out, it's kinda cool, unless the screw is stuck inside the wood. Then, it makes this squealing sound. Worse than a stuck pig... *shudder*

I have not been motivated at all to do this research paper. I don't think I ever will be motivated. It's just so difficult to even start. I keep staring at the blank sheet on Word and... nothing comes out. And today was just so tedious. Haven't you ever had one of those days where it just drags on and on and on? And it's not like I didn't do anything, it just seemed like every minute was 5 minutes instead.

O and that fire drill? Freaking freezing outside! I heard it's 'cause a leaf blower caught something on fire. Can you imagine being the worker who accidently sets a school on fire? Wouldn't want to be in that guy's shoes. Everyone outside was dancing around, trying to get warm. I could see this group of girls like... booty-dancing or something. It was kinda funny.

Anyway, like Cate (who I got this from), I am bored and desperate for contact outside of my room.

1. Reply with your name and I will write something about you.
2. I will then tell what song[s] remind me of you.
3. Next, I will tell you who you remind me of, celebrity/animated or otherwise.
4. Last, I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
5. Put this in your journal!

Ok, so I know I said that I hated the musical the other day, but I gotta say, after performing it to an audience, I like it much more. Opening night went fabulously (is that a word?) and tonight was great too! Still, very tired, and the homework is building up... with that lovely research project glaring me in the face. Ok rambling... time for bed.

Musical=Hell [24 Jan 2005|10:47pm]
Every hour spent rehearsing this musical just sucks a little bit more of my soul out of my body. And the endless notes... so very annoying. Barely any apply to me! Other stuff hasn't been so great either. There's still that research paper which I have not started! Plus reading for US and poems for Lang and the fact that my voice sounds like a frog!

Ok... *soothing breath* In other news, I've come up with a new Resolution. Yesterday at Barnes and Noble I got a book of Shakespearian quotes for 99 cents. So every day (well.. every post), I will post a quote and hopefully gain some knowledge from his eternal words.

So cold, my bones are aching [18 Jan 2005|11:09pm]
God I hate my mother so much sometimes.

There I was, just sitting there in the living room, innocently watching I Love the 90's Part Deux, munching on ice chips when she comes storming up from the basement. She then proceeds to remind me how fat I am and how I never do anything to fix it. "Why don't you jump rope or hula hoop while you watch TV, instead of sitting on your but?"

You wanna know why? Because I watch TV to fucking relax!

And then she goes, "turn off the TV, you need to go run up and down the stairs for half an hour. I really should make you do it for an hour but I'll be nice today." Nice?! Pshaw!

But then in like the blink of an eye she changes her mind and decides I need to go outside to run. In like 20 degree weather. I swear, she's fucking insane. So I tell her that and she gets so mad and tells me that if I don't go out and run for 45 minutes I can forget about All State and New York and everything else that I finally have going for me.

Oh my God, running outside in that kind of weather is so horrible. It steals the breath from your lungs so you can't breath. Even now I still can't draw breath properly. Not to mention the many neighbors along my street watching me from their nice warm rooms thinking, "what the fuck is that homeless bitch doing running around at this hour?"

And then I get inside and the brilliant mother tells me, "you didn't run long enough. You should've run for an hour." I should also say at this time, my entire face is a block of ice, my lungs are frosty and my legs are shaking. And she reminds me not to sit down immediately, but to bounce around for a little while longer. Then she pats my belly, reminding me again of my oh-so-apparent obesity. I tell her that it's mostly water from the ice I've been eating all night and she says, "Oh well you should run that off too." What the hell is that supposed to mean? Run off water?

Of course with my luck I'll get a cold, do miserably on the SATs and All State audtions and stab myself in the neck with my glasses.

So much Homework [17 Jan 2005|11:09pm]

Why on Earth would teachers give so much homework over a 3-day weekend? It's inhumane I swear.

List of homework:

Webassign for Physics (bleagh)
After the Fact summary (at least it's short)
French Composition comparing 2 restaurants (randomest theme ever)
Calculus worksheet (not gonna worry about it till homeroom)
Costumes for Music Man
Sell tickets for Music Man
Find ads for Music Man
Go to Music Man rehearsal

I swear, this musical is taking up so much of my time. I'll be so glad when it's over. It's really getting to crunchtime. Next week we'll be staying until 10:00 for a few days, then showtime. My god, it's so soon. I really hope the pit is doing allright.

Any pit members reading this, better crack down! We open in one week!

the studious student. You are definitely pressured
and suffer from side effects from built up
stress. You are constantly occupying yourself
with books, studies, or some other hobby. You
feel squeezed in place and have litte movement.
Most of the time you are busy with work and
family, and would love to spread your wings and
relax. One like you needs to find a certain
time of the day to just sit and release the
tension. However, you are doing fairly well in
school, but that does not mean that you can
continue stressing yourself out. Take a
breather and head out with some friends.

You can consider going into a field like
librarian, polotician, journalist,
Archeologist, scientist, or lawyer. You have a
brain...NOW USE IT....but please...spare
yourself the pressure and create some down time
for yourself. Or develop a hobby that releases
tension, such as knitting (it worked wonders
for me)

What type of teenager are you?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! [31 Dec 2004|04:23pm]

Happy New Year everyone! Strange to think that 5 years ago, we were all panicking about Y2K and how everyone was going to die. lol.

New Years Resolutions:

  1. Stop Procrastinating (I say this every year. Does it work? NO)

  2. Get straight A's (ditto above)

  3. Stop answering phone calls from people asking for Frank, Brady, or Karen.

  4. Do more community service/charity kind of stuff.

  5. Read US chapters (HA!)

That's all I have for now... I'll think of more later.

I've been wondering about this all day... If the phantom's mask is just over his eye, right above his lip, how come the disfigurement goes all the way to his ear?

And the whole movie, you can see his eye and it looks just like the other one. But when he takes it off, it's like blue and really gross and hanging and stuff... Can anyone solve this for me?

Anway... went to set building today and hefted around huge props and painted a porch. T'was fun. My arms are now even more sore (hey I'm a poet!). Then went to Shannon's for Cranium and pizza. Much much fun. It ended up a huge dogpile, with Kelly raping Grant lol.

Edit: Kelley claims I spelled her name wrong. Well bully for her.

My goodness... Phantom of the Opera was so good! I saw the Broadway show in NYC and I was blown away. I never thought the movie could meet the standards of such a masterpiece. But it did! Except for a little tweaking, the director stayed true to the story, the singing, costumes, settings, EVERYTHING was fabulous!

Halfway through though, I noticed Emmy Rossum http://film.onet.pl/_i/news/duze/e/emmy_rossum_1.jpg was in the day after tomorrow with Jake Gyllenhaal (or however you spell his name)

lala... heading to Stone Mountain later... hopefully not to climb it.
